ISAACS, photographer, gallery 217 Main street, residence on East Johnson street; was born in Norway in 1853, and emigrated to the United States with his parents in 1855, and has been a resident of Dane Co. ever since; he was for seven years in different studios before commencing in business for himself; in the spring of 1879, he established himself in his present location, and has rapidly taken a prominent place among the photographic artists of Madison. Was married in May 1876, to Ruth J. HAWKES, a native of Madison; they have two sons - Clarence and Earl. Family are Congregationalists. Is a Good Temple. Has an increasing patronage.
