Benjamin Koons, 85, Beloit, a former Baraboo resident, died unexpectedly Friday (Feb 19, 1971) at home.

He was a Beloit resident for the past year and was employed by the Northwestern Railway for 50 years as a conductor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 34, F and AM and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Survivors include two sons, Max, Madison; Edward, Beloit; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Howard, West Baraboo; Mrs. Margaret Pierce, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grand children; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o?clock in the Redlin - Scheible Funeral Home with the Rev. Maurice Jones officiating.

Friends may call at the Redlin - Scheible Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 where Masonic services will be held at 7 o?clock.

Burial will be made in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
