LaVern A. Brown, aged 81 years, of Baraboo, passed away early this morning at his home on Mulbery street after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Baraboo, he had been employed by the Chicago and North Western railway for a number of years and also as a painter. Mr. Brown was a well known veteran of the Spanish American war.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Evan Mason of Washington D.C.; Mrs. Anthony Capelotti of Rockland, Mass., and Mrs. Anthony Heim of Madison, ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and and also one brother, David of Wisconsin Rapids besides many other relatives and friends.
The body is at the Scheible funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
