Reedsburg Free Press 16 February, 1905 OBITUARY BYRNE JOSEPH P BYRNE, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Byrne of Ironton, died suddenly of heart failure at St. Joseph, Mo., Feb. 6, aged 22 years. The announcement of his untimely death came as a great shock to his family and friends, and his father left at once to bring the remains to the old home for burial. The funeral was held Friday at St. Michaels church and was very largely attended. Requiem Mass was solemnized by Rev. John Bruderman, assisted by Rev. R. B. Condon of Reedsburg. The young man was of estimable character, and had many warm friends in his home town where he was a general favorite, as well as in St. Josephs where he had spent the past year. Previously he had attended school in Reedsburg and had been a teacher in North Dakota. The heartfelt sympathy of the community is accorded the bereaved family Contributed by Vicki Pierce
