Charles is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery(Baraboo Cemetery),Baraboo, Sauk County, WI. His obituary was written in The Evening News(taken from the Kilbourn Gazette), Baraboo, 03-14-1898. He came to WI in 1866 to live with his father, Enoch: "His last years were spent on the banks of the Wisconsin near old Newport, where he lived alone. A few weeks ago his health became so frail that he was brought to Kilbourn where he received excellent care and attendance. He leaves a daughter, married, now living in Michigan, she and her husband having been here during his last days. He was buried in the family lot at Baraboo."
