JESSOP Obituary Jessop, Ruth J.(McLean)MERRIMAC/ BARABOO - Ruth Jeanette Jessop, age 95, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Don & Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. She was born Nov. 4, 1909. She married Wayne Jessop on Aug. 12, 1927. Ruth lived most of her life in the Merrimac and Baraboo area and worked at the Snow White Factory sewing for many years until her retirement. She moved to Madison in April, 1984 to be near family. We will certainly miss her great cooking. She was also a beautiful seamstress. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Jack) Ellis of Madison and Barbara (Don) Meisel of Madison; eight grandchildren, Mike (Nancy) Anthony, Peg (Pete) Reif, Vicki (Mark) Ytzen, Gary (Cathy) Meisel, Donnie (Patty) Meisel, Jerry (Phyllis) Meisel, Laurie Ellis and Sandy (Mike) Housel; 18 great-grandchildren, who affectionately call her "Boo Grandma," because she lived in Baraboo; a sister, Ella Astle of Baraboo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, who passed away Oct. 1, 1978; her parents; a sister, Vera Beich; and a brother, Arthur McLean. A memorial service will be held at MERRIMAC UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at noon on Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, with Pastor Anita Genrich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
