"Bill" KINDSCHI, age 90, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at St. Clare Hospital. Willard, the son of Lyman and Essie (KING) KINDSCHI, was born at home on Nov. 22, 1911, in the township of Sumpter. He was united in marriage to Margaret TOWERS on June 10, 1939, at her parent’s home in the town of Caledonia. She preceded him in death in 1992. Bill and his wife farmed for many years near the Powder Plant, until 1942, when they moved to the town of Greenfield and began farming there. He was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo. He served on the board for the town of Greenfield for 25 years, and had also served on the Sauk County Fair board. Bill was also an avid bowler. He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Dean) VOEKS of Madison; two grandchildren, Chad VOEKS (fiancée Clare NOLAN) of Astoria, Ore., and Christy (Andy) KUBITZ of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, James (Helen) KINDSCHI of Middleton; a brother-in-law, Ernest MUELLER of West Baraboo; and other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; a brother, Lloyd (Ellen) KINDSCHI; and a sister, Marian MUELLER. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, December. 28, 2001, at REDLIN FUNERAL HOME, Baraboo. Private family committal services will take place in the Walnut Hill Cemetery Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Emanuel United Methodist Church.
