West Wisconsin Methodist Conference Minutes Victor Moon Victor Moon, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Moon, was born in Portsmouth, England, March 2, 1887. His parents moved soon afterward to Rye, where he grew to manhood. He was educated in the public schools of England, where he taught for a time; but having long felt the call to preach , he took some special studies, and entered Cliff College to prepare for the ministry. While here, because of his marked genius in sermonic construction, he attracted the attention of the Rev. S. Chadwick, ex-president if the Wesleyan Conference. On completeing the course of study, he preached in different places in England and Ireland, and in Augus, 1910 sailed to America and entered the West Wisconsin Conference. He served Delton four years, Briggsville and Moundville three years, and North Freedom seven months. At Moundville, a splendid mordern church was erected during his ministry. While at North Freedom, his health failed, and he entered a Madison hospital for treatment. His condidtion was much improved when he was stricken with influenza and pneumonia, and on October 28, 1918, he entered into rest. Funeral Services were held from Kilbourne and Delton, and his remains were interred in Delton Cemetery. It was during his pastorate at Delton that he was united in marriage to Miss Jennie E. Rodwell, and to them were born two sons, Donald and David. He is survived by his parens, three sisters, his wife, and two sons. Victor Moon was a close student; a devoted, methodical and industrious pastor, skillful in organizing, and of unusual ability in sermonizing. Preaching was not regarded by him as a task but as a delight; and he was never happier then when preaching the gospel of the grace of God. Rev. W. J.
