Baraboo Paper Joseph A. Rodwell October 1927 Joseph A. Rodwell, second child of the family of eight children of Henry and Rachel Rodwell was born at Royalton, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Dec. 15, 1857. When he was nine years of age he moved with his parents to Dellona, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Emma Kingsley of the town of Summit, Juneau County, October 28, 1888, moving to his farm in the town of Delton the following December, where he lived until the time of his death at St. Savior's hospital, Portage October 7, 1927, aged 69 yrs. 9 months and 22 days. A son Roy preceeded him in death 12 years ago. Besides his wife, Mr. Rodwell is survived by 3 children, George of Juneau, Wis., Elvin of Blue Island, Ill., and Mrs. Henry Dowd of the town of Delton. Rodwell who lived near Mirror Lake, died October 7th, after an illness of some length due to a complication of diseases related to old age. The old gentleman had been taken to St. Savior's hospital at Portage for treatment with the hope of benefiting his health, but it was found impossible to do anything for him, and he passed away at an early hour Friday morning. Deceased was born December 15th, 1857, and was consequently 69 years, 9 months, and 22 days old at the time of his death. For many years past he has lived on a farm west of town, and had many friends in this city and vicinity who were truly sorry to hear of his death. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Jennie Dowd, one son, Elvin, also one brother, Henry Rodwell, and a sister, Sarah Rathburn of Appleton. The funeral was held Sunday Rev.
