MAUDE STICKLER Maude STICKLER was born Jan. 7, 1886, in Osceola, Ia., the daughter of Tom and Mathida JACKSON. On Nov. 25, 1902, she was married to Edward STICKLER. To this union seven children were born. The family lived in the Reedsburg area the past 42 years, the last 23 of them at 911-4th St. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary Nov. 25, 1964. She passed away at the Reedsburg hospital May 8, 1967 after a lingering illness. Surviving are three sons, Gerald, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jack, Lebanon, Mo.; and Keith, three daughters, Mrs. Beulah CHURCHILL, Waterford; Mrs. Mildred WATLAND, Albuquerque, N.Mex.; and Mrs. Lucille Strutz, Sheboygan; 31 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruby, Albuquerque, N. Mex. One son, Bernard, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Women’s Relief corp. and the United Methodist church. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 11 from the Gant funeral home with the Rev. Virgil HOLMES pastor of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery.
